CEDEC publishes Key Priorities on Market Design in view of the trilogue negotiations
Brussels, 5 July 2018
The Market Design Directive & Regulation are shaping our future energy systems.
At CEDEC, we plead for a competitive and flexible European internal energy market where all actors – big and small – can participate actively, with a clear definition of roles and responsibilities. Rules on flexibility and data management, on grid tariffs and contracts, as well as representativeness in Europe are key elements for the role of Local Energy Companies and DSOs as neutral market facilitators.
We believe that subsidiarity, along with proportionality of EU legislation, will be key to achieving a cost-efficient decentralising energy market that delivers for local authorities, citizens and customers.
